- If you’re willing to give it a go, another way to play MapleStory on Mac is to split your Mac hard drive and run Windows 10 on a separate partition using Apple’s Boot Camp software.
- That way you can switch between Windows and macOS whenever you need by restarting your machine. Then you could install MapleStory on the Windows partition of your machine. I dual boot into Linux/Windows and have no problems running Maplestory, I don't see why they would have any issue with Mac/Windows.
- Meet up again with the explorers you love so much, like the Dark Knight, Night Lord, Bishop, Corsair and more. Play MapleStory M on PC and MAC with BlueStacks and compete with friends to see who can level up faster and who gets left behind.
Of course, you can make changes in the size of the partition as soon as you have installed Windows 10, but be forewarned that doing so might trigger issues. If you wish to proceed with this option so you can play MapleStory, you need to run Windows 10 on a Mac using Apple’s Boot Camp. Once installed, download and install Steam and MapleStory.

MapleStory on XOS (Mac - Apple)
edited November 2016 in Suggestions, Feedback, and Requests
Hellu
I am currently on a MacBook Pro. I play MapleStory using Windows 10 via bootcamp. It's all good, no problem, but I would like MapleStory to be 100% compatible with XOS like some big games, as LeagueOfLegend for example. So I could do stuffs I usually do in my Mac's partition and open MapleStory at the same time.
I am sure you guys already think about it since all this time. So if you guys deffinitely chose to abort the idea, whatever the raison is, like the trouble of getting people who knows how to code in XOS, or to change the huge game's code, could you please let me know in this forum please ? Also, if you guys didn't abort the idea, could I get informed about what's up actually please ?
Thx chu
P.S.: sry for my english, french peeps here.
EDIT: Parallels* and not 'Paraelle'

- You could always run it with Wine. Makes things a whole lot easier then whatever you are doing.

Hello. What's 'Wine' ? Is it some programme to run Windows' apps on Mac or something ?You could always run it with Wine. Makes things a whole lot easier then whatever you are doing.- They're not going to make an OSX-native client. There isn't a large enough portion of players running it to make it worth the time.
Here are some threads on the matter from the old forums:

There might be more, but honestly it's after 2 in the morning for me, and I don't really care enough to dig deeply into the mess that is the old forums.
yes, that's exactly what it is.

Maplestory uses Windows only resources to run the client, and I dont think they will rebuild/ recode the client and game just to make it compatible with mac.
The last time I used WIne (years ago) it suffered from visual lag and input lag with whatever game I was using it for on a friends mac laptop, so you might be better off with your current setup, but I havnt used WIne in years (cause I haven't needed to)- Reactions: 4,395Volunteer Forum ModeratorHello
This isn't a priority, I understand why you would want this to happen though.
Explore a totally new and unknown world in this 2D anime-inspired side-scroller MMORPG
The glory days of gaming can be traced back to the time when you use to skip classes to visit your favorite arcade to play the latest console games on machines that were twice as tall as you, and weighted ten times more. While elitists may consider the typical side-scrolling graphics aged and even ugly by today's 'AAA' standards, those of you that are driven by nostalgia can't help to choose a 2D side-scroller over a modern 3D game. One such 'nostalgia game' is MapleStory, a 2D side-scroller with anime-inspired graphics and flashy special effects and a neat story.
A trip down memory lane
There is a fine balance between making a game seem simple without making it seem cheap, and MapleStory manages to maintain that balance perfectly. The 2D graphics make it accessible even to those of you that have older PC systems, while the high-quality, chibi-anime art style make it enjoyable, maybe even more than so low-quality 3D games. The cartoonish particles, sound effects and overall feel of the game are just enough to also awaken a latent desire to watch your favorite anime series again.
Forge your champion in MapleStory
All things considered, the graphics aren't just aimed towards children, like the music, environmental details and stories will remind you that this game means business.More so, the character customizations you gain access to, both regarding physical appearance, the gear it can equip and the skills it can learn allow you to make a character that seems like an extension of your own personality.
Kill as many monsters as they can fit in your screen
One of the key elements in MapleStory is teamwork, which is compulsory if you need to get past the more difficult encounters out there. You and your teammates along with all the enemies you have to face will eventually lead up to some of the most action-packed fights you've experienced in a long time, with damage numbers flying all over the place. Some players may find this particular feature a bit unappealing, as it can sometimes make encounters seem chaotic, and prone to making you want to simply resort to button mashing.
Not just a simple killing frenzy of a game
While killing hordes upon hordes of monsters can be a great way to release some steam, MapleStory advertises itself as more than that. It showcases a storyline on par with other great titles, graphics that make it accessible to just about any PC, and the promise of endless fun, even now after many years since the original launch.
